DISCOVER CARD PAYMENT PROTECTION PLAN

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

The law firms of Paris Ackerman & Schmierer LLP and Nagel Rice LLP have filed a class action lawsuit against Discover Card claiming that the company engages in deceptive business practices.  The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that Discover deceptively enrolls its card members into a Payment Protection Program, without the card member’s knowledge or authority.  According to the lawsuit, as a result of Discover’s misconduct, the affected card members are caused to incur fees which can amount to hundreds and thousands of dollars.
